Just learning a lot of material in a short period of time. The hardest part of the job: Transitioning from packer to machine operator. Workplace culture: Overall the workplace was relaxed, people were friendly but everyone just kept to themselves for the most part, but worked together when it called for. Management: I really like the management at Apio, they saw that I wanted to work my way up and when they saw that they gave me opportunities. I learned that I like to operate and work with machines and that it is what I am good at. ![]() I learned that no matter what position you are in that if you work hard there is always room for advancement. What I learned: I started as a packer and worked my way up. ![]() Typical day at work: Coming in setting the machine up, keep the machine running during production, making sure bags were sealed, troubleshooting, making sure the machines were doing what they were supposed to be doing so that the line could run smoothly and meeting my quota for the day.
